what is mikeward all about?

This site is in transition and has been since I obtained mikeward in 1997. It was a personal site then a commercial site and now it is back to a personal site. My plan is to just start putting what makes me happy here, maybe some kid pics for the grandparents, my travel pics, possibly some of the idle thoughts that fill my head and things like my Hard Rock collection list.

usable web design?

I am still doing web development but have teamed up with others to expand the range of services I can offer. You can find my new collaborative web business at Mike Ward Design (same great service, now just more of it).

the photos

I took the 26 photos (which display randomly) in the banner during my travels to Ireland, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Guam and East Timor.

You've heard about it on Midwest Irish Radio, read about it on The Saw Doctor's Bulletin board, Irish Abroad, Irish Emigrant and in the Irish Culture & Customs Newsletter, now you can see it for yourself. the logo

After a not-so-glowing review of my previous logo - - see the MW, I thought it was clever, I decided to take the pride in my Irish heritage and my love of Celtic knotwork and make a logo out of it. The knot you see in the banner is the result. There is still an MW there, but now its more of a perception thing.

mikeward v8.0?

As far as I can tell, this is the 8th version of the mikeward site since 1997.
